Sausage and Vegetables in Foil Packet
Sausage and vegetables in a foil packet is a simple and flavorful meal where sausages and a variety of vegetables are wrapped in foil and cooked together.
It’s a versatile recipe that can be cooked on a grill, in an oven, or over a campfire, making it ideal for easy weeknight dinners or outdoor activities like camping, picnics or BBQ party.
Yield: Serves 4
- 450 g sausage or hot dogs of your choice, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 8 medium mushrooms, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
- butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Combine sausage, onion, tomato, bell pepper, garlic, mushroom and oregano, in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Take 4 heavy-duty aluminum foils (about 16 inches length). Divide the sausage mixture evenly in the center of each foil sheet.
Place 3 butter cubes on each one.
Bring up foil sides and fold to seal, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Place them on the oven rack.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
