Muhammara (Roasted Red Bell Pepper Dip)
Looking for a tasty and quick dip that you can serve at your gathering? Try this Middle Eastern dip (Muhammara) made with walnuts, roasted red pepper, garlic and pomegranate molasses that is healthy and full of flavor!
Muhammara is a versatile dip that can be served in various ways. Serve Muhammara as a dip alongside fresh pita bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks. Or spread Muhammara on grilled chicken or lamb sandwiches or wraps to add a burst of flavor.
Yield: Serves 6
- 1 (17.5oz) jar roasted red bell peppers, drained
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/3 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika powder
- salt and black pepper
Place the roasted red peppers in a food processor. Add the rest of the ingredients to the food processor, and blend until mostly smooth but still a bit chunky.
Transfer to a small serving bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, garnish with chopped walnuts and fresh mint and serve with pita bread.
