Mini Tortilla Bowl Dessert
Mini Tortilla Bowl Dessert is the easiest fun dessert that comes together in no time!
Mini tortilla bowls are coated in butter, cinnamon and sugar, baked in the oven for couple of minutes, filled with Greek yogurt filling, and garnished with fresh fruits. A super quick summer dessert recipe with few ingredients.
Tortilla bowls are great for many other recipes like salads and appetizers. If you like to try another recipe using tortilla bowls, here is a very simple appetizer that I posted a month ago Baked Brie Tortilla Bowls.
Yield: Serves 7
- 12 mini soft tortilla bowls (I used Old El Paso brand)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup vanilla bean Greek Yogurt 5%
- honey, as much as you like
- fruit for garnish, I used fresh blackberry and raspberry
- powdered sugar for garnish, optional
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line cookie sheet with foil.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Brush both sides of tortilla bowls with melted butter and sprinkle inside and outside with sugar mixture. Place them on the cookie sheet.
Bake in the oven until browned on edges and firm to the touch, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them cool.
Meanwhile, mix Greek yogurt and honey (as mach as you like, depends on your taste) in small bowl. Fill each one of them with 2 tablespoons of yogurt mixture. Decorate the top with your choice of fruit. Dust with powdered sugar (optional). Serve immediately.
