Hot Dog and Mushroom
This comforting and easy to make Hot Dog and Mushroom recipe made with hot dog, onions, mushrooms and crushed tomato is perfect for those busy days when you have no time to cook. This simple dish is sure to be a family favorite!

Yield: Serves 4
- 8 hot dogs of your choice (450 g), sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 10 medium mushrooms, sliced
- 6 tablespoons crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- black pepper, add as much as you like
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until mushrooms are golden brown and all liquid is absorbed. Set aside.
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until golden.
Add the hot dog slices and cook for 10 minutes. Add turmeric and pepper, stir well. Add the crushed tomato and cook for 1-minute.
Add the mushroom, oregano and 3/4 cup hot water. Cover the pan and cook over medium heat until thickened, about 20 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasonings. Serve with any kind of bread you like.
