Baked Feta with Olives
Baked Feta with Olives - A simple appetizer and side dish made with olives, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and herbs.
To prepare, bake all ingredients together with a block of feta cheese until it’s warm and creamy, and serve with toasted bread.
This baked feta is an appetizer which is impressive and yet, it is quickly and easily made. Be sure to try some of my other favorite recipes using feta cheese: Baked Feta with Spinach and Chickpeas and Cucumber Avocado Salad with Feta.
Yield: Serves 6
- 200 g block feta
- 1/2 cup sliced green olives
- 1/2 cup sliced Kalamata olives
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- black pepper
Note: If olives are is too salty, soak in the cold water for 20-25 minutes or until desired level of saltiness and then drain.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Place block of feta into a small baking dish.
Add olives and sun-dried tomatoes to the baking dish around the feta.
In a bowl combine garlic, oregano, pepper and olive oil. Pour over the feta, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes.
Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven ad serve with bread.
