Oven-Baked Back Ribs
These oven-baked pork ribs are coated in mayonnaise, spices and BBQ sauce, slowly roasted at a low temperature until fall-apart-tender and then broiled to sticky perfection! They are SO good and SO easy to make.
What goes good with oven-baked ribs? Baked ribs pair well with a variety of side dishes that complement their savory and sweet flavors. Here are some delicious options: Crispy Parmesan Potatoes, Grilled Vegetables, Mashed Potato Muffins or Coleslaw.
Yield: Serves 3
- 1 rack baby back pork ribs (about 1 kg)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
- 1 garlic, halved
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat the oven to 275°F.
In a small bowl mix together garlic powder, salt, paprika and black pepper. Set aside.
Rinse pork ribs and pat dry with paper towels. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
Place the rack on a large sheet of aluminum foil (cut rib rack in half if needed to fit on the baking sheet).
Spread half of the mayo evenly over the rack. Sprinkle half of the dry mixture over the top.
Add a little of BBQ sauce.
Flip the ribs over and repeat on the other side. Put garlic on top.
Wrap the ribs in the aluminum foil by folding the sides up (make sure they are fully covered) and place on a large baking sheet.
Bake for 3-4 hours until very tender.
Once tender, remove from oven. Remove aluminum foil and discard juices. Brush both sides with BBQ sauce and place on a baking sheet.
Set the oven to broil. Broil until sauce just starts to caramelize, about 2-4 minutes.
