Mashed Potato

Mashed Potato is a perfect side dish. You can serve it anytime of the year for your family dinner.


Yield: Serves 3-4

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • heavy cream, optional
  • salt & pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS

Wash the potatoes. Put them into a pot and add salt. Pour water until potatoes are covered and bring to a boil. Cover the pot and simmer over medium-high heat until done - a fork can easily be poked through them.

Drain water from the potatoes and peel them. Then mash the potatoes with a potato masher or grate them with a grater. Melt the butter in a small pot over medium heat. Add the grated potatoes, milk, salt and pepper; stir well. Cook to desired thickness, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust seasonings.

Note: Add heavy cream for richer mashed potato.
