Sauteed Olives from Cooking and Cooking
Yield: Serves 5
INGREDIENTS
INSTRUCTIONS

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the green onions and fry until soft, about 5 minutes. Add turmeric powder and stir. Add the olives and cook for 2 minutes. Then stir in diced tomatoes, sugar and tomato paste and simmer for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste for seasoning and add salt and black pepper. Serve warm or cold with any kind of bread or cracker.
