French Toast
Yield: Serves 1
Ingredients:
  • 2 slices of French crusty bread (or any kind of white bread)
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • maple syrup
  • pinch of salt
Instructions:

In a wide, shallow bowl, whisk the egg, milk, cinnamon and salt together with a fork.

Soak bread slices in egg mixture, one at a time, making sure to soak each side.

Melt some butter in skillet over medium heat.

Shake off the excess egg mixture from the bread, and place the bread slices onto the skillet.

Fry the bread slices until browned on one side, then flip and brown the other side.

Serve hot with butter and maple syrup.
