Curried Lentil Soup
Yield: Serves 6
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups lentils, picked over to remove any stones
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups milk
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup White Sauce or Bechemal Sauce
Instructions:

In a pot, bring the lentils and water to a boil. Add milk, salt, pepper, and curry powder. Reduce heat to medium and simmer covered until lentil is tender, stirring occasionally.

Add the white sauce and cook covered until desired thickness. Serve with lemon juice on the side.
