Bring 4 cups water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook until tender, about 8-9 minutes. Drain well and chop the florets into pieces. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients together. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Lightly spray a casserole dish with cooking spray. Transfer the broccoli mixture to prepared casserole dish.
Bake until bubbly, about 30-32 minutes.
Serve warm or cold with bread slices.
